1 · What klo is
klo is a video editor for macOS that edits footage on your Mac when you tell it what you want. The app is made by klo inc. ("klo", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
2 · Your account
You sign in with Google. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use klo.
3 · Plans and credits
Editing with the agent uses credits: one credit covers a standard edit run, however many edits it performs in response. Very large jobs (extra work rounds, or research fanned out across many clips in parallel) can use an extra credit or two; the app always tells you when a run used more than one. New accounts get 10 free credits. Pro ($30/month) includes 50 credits per month. Studio ($200/month) includes 300 per month. Credit packs are one-time purchases and never expire. Monthly plan credits roll over up to a cap (two months of your plan's allowance); the cap limits what a monthly grant can add, never what you've already bought.
4 · Billing
Payments run through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do any time from Settings → Manage billing; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. If a renewal payment fails we may pause credit grants until it clears.
5 · Refunds
Unused time and credits aren't automatically refundable, but write to us. If something went wrong on our side we'll make it right.
6 · Your content
Your footage, your edits, your exports: all yours. You give klo only the narrow license needed to process your content to do what you asked (for example, transcribing a clip's audio so you can cut by what was said). We claim no ownership of anything you make.
7 · The agent can be wrong
klo's agent is powered by AI models. It's good, and it's not perfect: it can mis-hear a word, cut a frame you wanted, or grade a shot strangely. Every edit is undoable, and you're responsible for reviewing anything before you publish it.
8 · Fair use
Don't use klo to break the law, infringe others' rights, process content you don't have rights to, probe or overload our systems, resell access, or try to extract the underlying models. We can suspend accounts that do.
9 · Availability
The agent depends on cloud services (ours and our AI providers'). We aim to keep it up, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Local editing, meaning your timeline, playback, and export, keeps working without us.
10 · Liability
klo is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost footage. Keep backups of anything irreplaceable.
11 · Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If a change is material we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use klo after that means you accept the updated terms.
